The Prince George, British Columbia community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Cole Jackson Kennedy, who passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2026, at just 22 years old. His passing has left family members, friends, and loved ones devastated as they remember a young man whose humor, personality, and love for others made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Born on October 13, 2003, Cole Kennedy is survived by his loving parents, Steve Kennedy and Cora-Lee (Bob) Cutway; his sister, Kayleigh Kennedy; his grandparents, Moira Kennedy, Neil and Anne Bilodeau, and Lorraine Bilodeau and Dave Laboucane; along with many extended family members and close friends who loved him deeply. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Norman Kennedy.
In Prince George, Cole will be remembered for his unforgettable personality and sharp sense of humor. Loved ones describe him as funny, sarcastic, witty, and fearless when it came to speaking his mind. He had a natural ability to make people laugh, often without even trying, and his quick comebacks and unique energy made him someone impossible to forget.
Beyond his humor and charm, those closest to Cole say his heart was especially evident in the love he had for animals. Dogs held a special place in his life, and he found genuine happiness in spending time outdoors, going on walks, and sharing adventures with them. His loyal companion, Ducky, remained one of his greatest sources of comfort and joy.

A Celebration of Life honoring Cole Kennedy will be held on June 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club. Loved ones will gather to remember his life, share stories, and celebrate the joy and laughter he brought into the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family has encouraged donations to the Prince George Humane Society in honor of Cole’s deep love for animals.
