From his early years teaching elementary school music to directing middle school orchestras and eventually leading the high school orchestras at both East and West High Schools, Joseph Gumpper shaped the musical journeys of countless students with extraordinary care and enthusiasm.

Since becoming High School Orchestra Director in 2006, Mr. Gumpper built a program that reflected not only musical excellence but also community, discipline, and heart.
